Creamofbritish Labradoodles Leaving a path for others to follow

A warm welcome from Cream Of British Labradoodles UK

Creamofbritish are breeders of non moulting, Multi-Generation, ASD Australian Labradoodles

and the English / British Labradoodle based in Hampshire Uk, Great Britain.

We occasionallly have puppie's in Cream, Apricot, Chocolate but I am particularly passionate about Brown & White and Black & White Parti Colour.

I have admired Labradoodles for many years having first met one over 15yrs ago. It was not until 2006 that we decided that we would like to get a Labradoodle but we knew that we only wanted a Multi-Generation with a non moulting coat, as it happens we found her on our doorstep, read all about 'Kushti Two Shoes' on her page

We have also imported Australian Labradoodles from Rutland Manor & Tegan Park in Australia.

Beverley Manners of Rutland Manor founded Labradoodles and has been breeding them for over twenty years. We decided that Rutland Manor and Tegan Park were the best people to approach and now we are sharing our lives with 'Rutlands Nirvana'

I bred my first litter of Labradoodles in May 2000 but they were first generation F1 Labrador Retriever x Standard Poodle and although they were lovely puppies they did not resemble the lovely Labradoodles I had seen & admired from Rutland Manor & Tegan Park Australia. All of the puppies went to fabulous pet homes, the best bitch Elly, was sold to a family who made it clear that they would like to have a litter one day. I sold my puppies for £350, how times have changed. Elly is now a grandma, you can see the puppies in the photo gallery.

When we had the litter we had the good fortune to have Cathy Cochrane come to see them, she brought her dogs with her, the famous 'Wu-Li' and his son BB King, both fabulous boys.

I did not repeat the mating and decided to concentrate on showing and breeding my Labradors. I was still very much involved in the Labradoodle world as my husband Ian and I are close friends with Mary Rook. In our opinion Mary is one of the founders of Labradoodles in the UK. She also has found breeding F1 Labradoodles much harder to achieve the goal of a uniform type and she now breeds Golden Doodles, Golden Retriever x Standard Poodle. Mary does all of the relevant health testing, as does her friend Jackie Ruddock, click on the link button for contact details and to see their beautiful dogs.

As a breeder of show type Labradors I tended to keep quiet about my love of Labradoodles as you come across so much prejudice but I think this is often justified as so many people have jumped on the bandwagon and are breeding indiscriminately with no concern for any health issues related to both breeds.

Despite having bred my first litter of Labradoodles in 2000, I have no desire to become a member of The Labradoodle Club Of Great Britain as I do not agree with their ethics, there are no excuses for not health testing before breeding and never was it more important than in the early development of Labradoodles.

We will not recommend breeders who do not health test.
